Open Recipes — Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 16, 2026

Open Recipes (the “App”) is a recipe manager for iPhone, iPad, and Mac. This policy explains how your information is handled.

The short version: the App does not collect, store, or share your personal information. There is no account to create, no advertising, no analytics, and no third-party tracking.

Your recipes stay on your devices

Recipes, photos, meal plans, and grocery lists are stored on your device and, if you enable iCloud, in your private iCloud Drive. The developer has no access to this data. iCloud sync is provided by Apple and is governed by Apple’s privacy policy.

What the App accesses, and only when you ask

Embedded video

If you import a recipe from YouTube, the video plays through YouTube’s embedded player, which is provided by Google and may set its own cookies. Google’s use of cookies is governed by Google’s privacy policy.

Children

The App is not directed to children and does not collect personal information from anyone.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address.
